Well he started at $5,000
I got to $4,000 and he won't budge another penny.
I wish I had some pics to show you all, I have never seen a TOyota of this age this Immaculate.
This rig is clean, not a speck of fluid leak.
Almost every part under the hood is new, also tires, brakes,
shockes, steering stabilizer, spare tire.
The only thing I foresee that it will need down the road is a 4" lift, 33's and lower gears.
I know it sounds like I'm trying to talk myself into it, But needing opinions so I don't end up on a loosing end.

Sounds like a nice truck with the newer engine in it. If the body is rust free and interior is in good condition then that sounds like a fair price.

Ya, I would say to at least attempt to try and haggle him down a little more if possible, offer cash if you can, he'll probably lower his price a little more....
but if none of that works, jump on it anyways! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Well the deal is off.
I called him today as I said I would and he backed out.
I asked if he would consider $3,800 and he Said he desided not to sell period. Said if I had said I would take it for $4,000 he would of stuck to the deal but since I asked if he would consider less this was his out and he is
taking it <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" />.
So I am going to stick to my original plan and get either
an 89-94 Pick-up extra cab or a Jeep Wrangler or a
90-94 4-Runner.

Thanks for all the input guy's,
Any more advise as to my other choices

Getting the Wheeling Fever
To be honest, $4000 would be a steal out here on the East Coast with an engine that only has 22,000 miles on it (as long as the body is in good condition). Definitly stick with some sort of Toyota in your search.

It sounds like he really wasn't ready to sell it, what's $200.00 anyway. If you offered full boat he still wouldn't seel, right? Sorry it didn't work out. Stick with a Toy. Look for a 4cvl. 90 4dr 4Runner. Great trail rig and rare.
