i know that on the yota 5-spd the reverse gear is the weak link in the tranny's. i know that it is also a forward cut gear so it tends to be weaker and it binds.

now i have a little grinding when i down shift in to second mostly and this is at almost all speeds faster than 25 on the speedo. it never used to do it when i got the truck 10,000 miles ago?. and i have found that normal shifting in to 2,3,4 is gettin a little more effort needed, they dont grind unless i really jam it fast but mainly it has started since i put the new clutch in and all my adjustments are in spec. so im just hoppin it has been just a lazy foot and i dont know it? well i will try to more consiously pushing my foot all the way to the floor to see if that helps, and shift slower. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" />
