Does anybody else have a Rhino Liner and have a problem that it stays perpetually filthy? I can't even let my kids sit in the back of my truck in the driveway without their clothes getting covered in black crud. I have a couple of friends with Rhinos and they don't seem to have this problem. Anybody else?
I've tried scrubbing the thing down and it doesn't help. After a few days, same problem.
any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I have had Rhino Lining in my bed for over 3 years and I get no black rub off. Is it the brand name Rhino or is it a knock off?

Could it perhaps be because you drive on dirt roads often? most often I pick up a TON of dirt and crap in the bed of my truck when driving on dirt roads.

unfortunately, that's not it either. WAAAAYYY too much city driving.
So, sounds like I've got a bad batch of liner, huh?
Thanks for the input. I'll take this back to the dealer and see what they say about fixing it. Right now, I'm not real happy with my choice. Maybe I should have gone Line-X.

differently should have gone with line-x. I have never seen this problem with line-x and worked there for 5 yrs. plus its a better bedliner

well, paid for the rhinoshine. Rhino rep says it is an oxidation problem and happens to all of them if left in the sunlight.
Rhinoshine does look good on it, though. Nice and shiny and new looking. Guess I'll see how it holds up. Locally, $50 for them to apply, or they'll sell the stuff for about $20 and it just brushes on.

Ralph- Sorry I didn't see this post earlier. I've been in this business for nearly ten years- I won't go into brands. If your liner was near new in April(?) (your first post about this), then the rhino rep gave you bad info and charged you more with the shine. All polyurethane and polyurea liners including rhino and mine will oxidize, but will not smear black crap on you. You would wind up with more of a chalky grey "grit" on you, but it would take a year MINIMUM to get to this point. If you ever wash your truck bed out, you can probably extend that time out to several years. The only thing that causes what you describe is an improper mix during the spray process. It definitely sounds like a bad mix. I'd start by getting my money back on the shine junk, and then make them adress the real problem. If it is as I suspect- be aware that there is no "fix" for the problem. Do not allow to try to fix the liner that is there. It must be removed and a new liner installed. You will need to give up your truck for at least a day or two, as removal is a real tough job, and the guys will not be the least bit happy. If they are a reputable shop, they will take of you, although they will be cursing the heck out of you when your backs turned Sorry for you troubles, let me know if you need any more info!

thanks for the response. For now, the Shine seems to have fixed the problem, but it's only a 1 year guarantee on it. They told me that the fact my truck lives outside will only speed up the problems here in the Carolina sunshine.
thanks for your help. I'll go and talk with them some more about it.
