One of the first "fixes" I did on my '91 Troop was to replace the 5spd shifter boot- it was a real pain to get installed! So, if removing boots and shifters is the easiest way to refill tranny/txfr case oil is there a secret to said boot installation???

I used a pump to refill my tranny/txfr case and the only issue was that the Lucas tranny stuff got cold and was really REALLY hard to get in there. The oil was kinda cold but it was pretty easy. One other issue- the lying on your side and trying to get enough clearance to operate the pump was a pain too. Hence, the question: what is the easiest way to reinstall shifter boots?
