K. I've narrowed my decision down to the Yellow Top w/Side Posts.

BUT, I've found two different models available...and I don't know the differences, nor the appropriate choice for our Troopers.

Can someone help me with this?

TIA!

Dana, I believe the differnece is in the size phyiscally and something else but I can't remember right off hand. It was in Mays issuse of Fourwheeler magazine though.

I just bought a Optima Red Top. I was told by a reputable offroad shop in town that the yellow tops were more of deep cycle battery and they tend to develop memory because they are made to be decharged and recharge on a regular basis. The shop sells mostly Redtops for light vehicles. Unless you are running a huge winch with out the engine running you probably don't need a yellowtop. Hope that helps <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

The 34/78 is bigger and slightly more powerful. Check out the table on THIS page.
