It has come to my attention that we are not the only ones in need of someone to watch the dog on Thursday when we do Elephant Hill. Canyonlands National Park does not allow pets even in the vehicle. Blaze is just fine in our motorhome but I am not sure about about others who might need a dog sitter. We have had bad luck with the kennel in town. Are there any volunteers?

I'll definitely help if I can. I *think* that I have a full truck on Thursday. 3 passengers and Bogey in the Amigo. If that falls through, I'll have room for another critter.

Much depends on what sort of running vehicle I have, but I'm game to assist, as well, just with REALLY indefinite plans right now... let's chat on doggy daycare when I get to Moab.

Todd, I don't know if you're willing to try a different kennel but Abraxus on 90th South, just west of Bangerter has always been good to my Akida. In fact they were the only one in the county that was willing to take her being that she was an Akida.

Georgina and I had the same problem wondering what we were going to do with our mutt (Regina) since I really wanted Georgina to see Elephant Hill. I did a search and came up with a place called...

Karen's Canine Campground
2781 S. Roberts (South of town)
435-259-7922

I called her, it is her home and she keeps the dogs in her backyard. Her hours are good for our situation...7am.- 7pm. Price is $10.00 per day. She limits the amount of dogs (I think 10) and she books up quickly so if this sounds like something that would work for you, you better call soon!!! We are already booked there for Thursday.

Just wanted to present this option,

Linda had the name and phone number of another kennel in Moab that is not the one we had a problem with. It is Personal Touch Kennels and their phone # is (435) 259 6380 . They we recommended by a friend in Moab but no guaranties.
