I have been checking the "Project STRETCH" thumb for sometime now and have yet to see any progress reports. Maybe it is in a a different section and I have just overlooked it. Just curious what it going to be done to it. And who is doing the work? In case nobody knows what I am talking about click HERE and check at the bottom.

I think thats Rays (Offroader on the wire) He used to have a SWB and then got that LWB. I could be totally wrong, but I thought thats who's it was. If thats the case, you can check out his ride here and there on the wire with pics.

Angelo

Here is a update.

Replace everything including motor and tranny. Did some body work. Put on a body lift. Installed front and rear LSD. Crank tbars and replace rear spings. He put on a nice Don bumper.

poor guy went from a minor build up of a LWB to a truck rebuild.

Then he had lots of fun with it.

Heheh... you guys crack me up. I'm sitting on many many articles about the thing, but everytime I think its done and I can start some writing, something else needs to be done. Sonova... I'm embarressed that its taken this long to write something about it, but time has a way of getting away on you, ya know?

BUT I can tell you that I have finally gotten busy on some reader-submitted articles, and I'll be posting up about these in the coming days. I'll give you a hint about the first one: TURBO...

Thanks for waiting. Project STRETCH is alive and well, it just got stretched further than I had ever thought possible.

OK, As a new forum member I've been continualy checking to to see when that "NEW! Upcoming Project: S-t-r-e-t-c-h" link becomes active, then turned up this thread with a search...

Heh heh...

In a fit of lunacy, I sold it last summer, in order to replace with a 2.5TD from Japan. Am I regretting that decision? Well, at the moment, and for the last 6 months, YES. The coming months may help to ease my pain...

In the meantime, I apologize - I have been more than slack on the Mitsu section. I am sitting on many articles, as usual, and just need to clear off my desk and get at them. The usual stuff has gotten in the way - family, building a new house, work, etc etc. Plus a few compu hardware failures thrown in for good measure. Thanks for the kick in the . Its what I need sometimes...
