Just curious as to what tire pressure you guys are running both on and off road. I've got 33x12.5 BFG ATs on 10" rims that I have been running at 32 on road and 15-18 off road. But this past weekend on a trip I noticed most people seemed to be running closer to 12 on the trails and only airing back up to around 28-30 to hit the highway.

Any opinions?

generally, i run 30 all around on the road...if i am going to be carrying a heavy load, i pump up the fronts to 35 and the rears to 40-45.

off road, it depends on the terrain, but i never find myself going below 20. prolly should go lower, but i'm paranoid about losing a bead.

On my 33x10.50 tires, I'll run anywhere from 20-50 psi on the road (the narrow BFGs are rated to 50 psi, the wider ones only 35 psi), but usually 30-40 for long highway trips. Off road anywhere from 7-15 psi, depending on terrain.

I'm running 20 on the road with 35X12.50 BFG's, but my wheels are only 7" wide.

I run 32 psi on the highway with 35" MTR's on 15X8's.

On the trail I run 4 - 20 psi depending on the trail.

20 psi - washboard roads i.e. Death Valley trails
12 psi - rocks
4 - 8 psi - snow

26psi street, 33x12.50 BFG AT's on 15x8's. Any higher and they'd wear more at the center than on the sides. Never ran a trail where I didn't have to drive like 20-30mi before air was available so I've never gone lower than 20psi.

i run 50 psi, the highest my tires are rated for (31x10.5s)

you guys run such low pressures, it must be costing you at gas fillup time

Roll Me Over
I have the same tires on 10" rims.
35 psi on the street(heavy truck).
Washboards 15(rides as smooth as the street)
Rocks 12
Snow 2-10 depending on condition/type of snow.

Stan, you really don't have to worry about loosing a bead until you are down below ten psi, unless you happen to hit an obstacle at speed. Reseating a bead is very easy, all you need is an air source. A small compressor and a ratchet strap will do.

More than tread lightly. Leave it like you were never there, nor anyone else.
