Over the last couple of months I have noticed that the front end and steering wheel will periodically shimmy/bounce at freeway speeds (55-65 mph). I had it aligned six or eight months ago and they said all the steering/suspension components looked/felt good. I am assuming it is in need of shocks since it has been many years since they were replaced.

I use it mostly on the street with occasional logging road/off highway use. I do use it to haul some moderate loads sometimes as well as towing moderate loads (2600lbs).

What would be a good shock to go with for these conditions? Since I got the 2001 Trooper the towing duties of this one should be reduced but it will still be used to haul stuff (yard stuff, auto stuff, home maintenance stuff, etc.) I like a moderately firm ride. Not too soft. It is still a truck after all! Any suggestions?
