Sounds like you really had a great time , great pic's !
We got back from our cross country trip 3 weeks ago. We started in Ct. went south and hit 40 and then came back on 70. 24 days, 23 states, 1600 plus pics and over 9000 mile on the 4 Runner. We had the most unreal time ! And you are very right about the sites out west. Breath taking ! Utah was our favorite state al around !

I've been back east a few time now and each time it was either spring or fall. You guys picked the exact right time to go. When I have my way on it, I want to do a non planned trip with all the time in the world. I want to experience and photo some serious storms from back there.

Here in California, if we see some arcing in our Fuse box, we consider that a major electrical storm.

1600 pics? Is that on film or digital? Thats gonna cost some bucks even on todays low cost methods of developing. I would love to see them.

There are a few things that pics simply cant capture about the country. When traveling through the midwest, the farms, the vastness of it all

When traveling through the southwest, just how dramatic it is, next time though, Im gonna stop and use some film up and take a panoramic and use some filters. My pics were hurried WHILE DRIVING. One hand on the wheel, the other pressing buttons on an old Canon AE-1. I trusted my new 4runner to make it, but the weight didnt let me feel comfortable pulling over and starting back up them hills too often.

Gotta say though, the 4runner didnt let me down in the slightest.

I think I had a good omen from the beginning. When I got off theplane, and into a van with another lady, he dropped her off first. She pointed to a toyota, and said "drop me off there, thats my 4runner"! Ha, of course I had to ask her, and she had nothing but rave reviews for it.

I love Fords, but doesnt stop me from picking other quality vehicles.
