I got a similiar set up except I can be as much as 1000lbs heavier than you. I never exceed redline. In fact, I rarely hit redline at all. However, that doesn't mean that I dont' use 3rd gear going up the hills and hit 4500-5000 rpm for extended periods, to get over a pass without getting run over by the semi-trucks.
