It would be interesting to know where your motor was assembled. I think our Tacoma motors are actually assembled here in the U.S. using some U.S. sourced parts. However, a lot of the overseas 3RZ were probably assembed elsewhere, like maybe Japan.

To be honest, I would feel better about a Japanese assembled motor. What's interesting about the 3RZ is that as far I can tell only you guys in South Africa and the guys in Australia got them, besides North America. Although they quit putting them in the Australia Toyotas a few years ago for some reason.

Still, I have no doubt it's a good motor. I would love to transplant one in my truck to replace my 22RE.
