I used a press. Took all 12 tons, and got reeeeeeeeeal exciting when it finally let go with a

To put it all back together I made SSTs out of an old 4Runner axle I had around for a project that never happened. Cut it up, welded little supports as needed, mighty handy to have around.

Makes good legal tender in trade for pizza for local guys wanting to save some trouble too!
I have a 20 ton press, and the SST to do this right, it can be seen in one of the pictures in the write up. But Erik wanted to do it the "shadetree" way to show folks you do not need a press.
