Ok I made the SST today at work and was able to press the shaft out in a few minutes. Now I have bought new bearings and seals for both sides, figured I would do the other side while I'm at it. However I cant find the o-rings, I'm guessing the o-ring is just to keep dust out. Can I use some ultra grey silicone or something like that in the place of the o-ring? Another question after I finish this side of the truck, would it hurt to back the truck out of the garage and turn it around and drive back in the garage to change the other side, with no oil in the rear end. The whole process would only take about a minute to do, I just dont know if any damage will occur? Any ideas on how I should approach the o-ring and the other side? Thanks
