Damm guys... keep your panties on..

Oops, sorry DC, let me pull them back up

I'm kiddin, just building up the hype Whenever you have time is cool. Hope everything is going well. You're doing alot of mods at one time. It should drive alot different then what you were used to before. Hell, when I did a 2" body lift it felt different driving it.

The gas tank shouldnt be that hard to do, just make sure you dont have a full gas tank when you decide to change it You should be able to see everything that needs to come off and put back on the new one.

Good luck,
Angelo

There are some differances with the ones on the web. Like this one uses 2 joints to transfer the torsion bar to the lower a arms. I believe the other one was older model. Also if you look at the 2nd pic with the middle a-arm, there was a bracket that came out. They couldnot figure out for the life of them what that was for. Also it got in the way of the steering asembley. So they cut it off. Now all they are waiting for now is the front 4wd assembly from the gear shop. And the rear thrid member.

As for the gas tank.. I anded up droping it off a the shop since they have it up on jacks already.

So I'm told there was alot of banging and hammering to get things to fit. Alot of the holes didn't match up. Ummm not because of the lift but a little bit on my side.
Once again trail scares. . So they had to drill out some of the holes for the bolts to fit. It now looks like fri-for the finish date.

Looks like the front bearing seals are coming back to bite me in the . Nobody has them here so they have been ordered from two separate locations from the eastern coast. Whats with the eastern coast? I had to order my 4.90's from there too. Is there a secret stash of Mitsu parts out there. We westerners are being left out. Anyways back to the seals. Everything is put together for the front diff. the 4.90 and ARB fit perfectly.(thanks Vic) They are just waiting for the seals. Then it goes up and the rear goes to the shop for the 4.90's. (they only have enough stands right now to hold the front up. I think they have 4 trucks/projects going togheter at the same time)

Sooooo the date of finish is being pushed to next week.

There are no aftermarket seals available locally? That's kind of a suprise to me. But on the other hand, the parts department at my shop couldn't find any shocks for mine unless they are Monroes

I'm not sure about after market seals but I think they are oem.

as for the shocks. You don't buy listed shocks for the truck thats modded. You measure the full length extension and compresion, now this will give you the shock length.
Now you just need to pick which compression rate and rebound. This is dependent on your vech weight and spring rate. Ie for the mitsu'd if they are cranked the compresion should about med. Etc.. shocks are not rocket science. Unless your setting up for the baja or jumping it's easy.

sorry about the shock stuff. I'm getting something for this lift. (cheap)But with this system of choosing. Well the baja racing guys at the shop are getting them.
