OK.. alot of new info. Well after this last trip we figured out what the max angle the cv's will take. Well, the way these were are too much. during the trip they both pulled out at the upper cv's. It snapped out the retainer clips and the balls came out. The first time it was repairable. but the second time they exploded. Even after trail mod to try and limit the down travel.
Well when I got back home I got an email with some explanations.
For the front diff to clear the middle a arm it needs to move over to the right an inch or so. The way this is done is swaping the outer axles -left to right.
This pic is in manual but we coudnt figure out what it meant.
The swap. Left one on the Right ceneter cup and the Right one on the Left center cup
Also The rear axle needs to turned 2 splines clock wise. I havent done this yet but I don't know what this will do. I hope you guys can chime in on this.
And I solved the drop diff issue. When we tried the brackets that the lift came with on the stock location points it put the diff 2 inches higher then stock. Thats why we kept the stock ones on and debated on cutting out some custom mounts. Then when I had time after the trip to just sit there and look at the front assembly for a long time I mean a long time. I noticed in one of the manual pics there was a extra braket that mounted to the front drop bracket. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> There it was. the brackets mounted to the front drop cross bar. There to slots for it on both sides.
