ron, i don't remember exactly what set-up you have, but if you also have the rear spacers, you shouldn't need airbags. and, the Eibach clone kit would fit just fine to give you 4" all around.

nuke, have you tried searching for a kit that would fit the MPV? if the coil height is the same or similar, compressed, on the Sportage as it is on the MPV, it should work relatively well, as long as there is a good way to mount them solidly.

Hi Dave,

I have stock springs all the way around and only FRONT spacers, not rear. The front spacers give me almost as much lift in the front as Eibach but I get more downward travel than I would have had with springs. In the rear, I am getting all of my lift from the airbags but I would prefer to get it from springs and only use the airbags as bumpstops and to compensate for payload.

I only want/need about 2" lift. I am running 30x950 tires.

Hi Nuke,

What is the inner diameter and free length of the MVP springs? I could probably find the correct bag to fit for you. Do the MVP springs turn in to a smaller diameter last coil on top and bottom like the stock springs?

By the way, are you running Green Diamond tires? Where did you get yours? I got mine from Hi-Tech.

Hi Nuke,

I thought I remembered them from an earlier post. Mine are A/T 30's, I think you got M/T 31's. I like them so far but I have not run them off road except in the sand. They were great in the rain.

The 30x950 really is as big as you can go with no trimming and no lift, at least with stock wheels. That's also why I don't want 4" lift. The 2.5" lift will really look great with 30's.

Yeah, with more lift the 30" tires start to look too small smile

So what's the status on these? Are they being produced...are they available? Was this just an interest check?

I'm checking into spacers for the stock springs...but I'd like to see some options for a small lift.

I noticed that when the Kia is lifted, it tends to look lower on the rear right hand side. Dave gave me an explanation a while ago, but I was not clear on what he meant. After observing the rear of the Kia I figured that the only thing pulling the truck down on the side was the stabilizer bar. Everything else is A-OK. Does anyone have the same problem? If so, what did you do to correct the situation? It seems a lower bracket can be built, but maybe Dave has done that already and has one for sale. How about it Dave. Have not seen your name pop up for some time.

I bought Dave's rear panhard bar just for that reason.and well.... and for any future lifting I may add in the future. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

when the rear end is lifted more than 1.5" (the height of the Eibach kit [so, they know this]) the rear axle is shifted to the passenger side. this causes the lean to the passenger side. only reason i can figure is that the extra tension on the bar pulls that side down a little. i don't make a bracket, but i do make a new, adjustable bar, check the vendor section for my prices (cuz i don't remember them right now).

as far as whether or not the shorter lift is being produced right now? no, it's not. that's the reason for this thread- to gauge interest.
