Should be the Minturn Exit #171 (HWY 24). That is a straight shot to BV.
Best way would be through Price to 70 like going to Moab, and keep going, past Glenwood and Avon, turn before Vail.

That's right. You go through Minturn and over Battle Mountain Pass. Should be the Minturn Exit #171 (HWY 24). That is a straight shot to BV.

Thanks for the directions but I've been there a few times before. I'm just hoping my tranny holds up because I don't think I'll have my other rig by that time to rely on.

Maybe next year?? LOL... well that would be a dang site better than renting a freakin' Jeep. Ya can't go anywhere and get back by the time they want the stupid things returned. I'll never do that again. Couldn't even do black bear because of the nincompoops. UGH!! Got a big diesel truck and a nice trailer and everything now so I was just gonna trailer the Trooper out there this year. Oh well, with diesel prices it would prolly cost $27,000 to get out there.

I recommend you also get a magnetic antenna, the adaptor to hook the coax to the handheld, and a cig lighter power source for the handheld, and you'll be good to go. All this is pretty cheap, and will improve reception and transmission dramatically from inside the vehicle.

Thought about it, but are we really going to be THAT far away from each other? It states that the range on these is 10 miles. I hope I don't get THAT far behind!

10 mile distance on a flat plane. I dought that you will get even half that range in the Rockies.
