I have one bolt left and am wondering how you seperate the T/C from the transmission? Chisel and hammer perhaps?
Also does the tranny fluid need to be drained first? My wife will be under the Montero lowing the transfer case with me, so the fewer suprises the better. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

You need to tell us what you have and we can answer. If it is a gen I auto, Yes the trans fluid will spill, and no once the bolt is out you should be able to just slide the xfercase off the trans output shaft, but have a prybar handy if the stuff is rusty.

Thanks for the info.
And if anyone has a spare T/C in the Salt Lake area they wanted to get rid of, let me know. It would save me a trip to the Pick and Pull.
