Hey, I make my living as a Honda dealership tech, and I have yet to see any of these additives do a damn thing except burn up CATs. We have sold several of the "mechanic in a bottle" treatments over the years, and quite frankly, I'm not impressed. BG claims that their 44k product is 100% chevron techroline; well if that's the case, why not just run chevron fuel then? We now sell MOC fuel induction cleaner, and personally, I think it's a rip off. I did a MOC ind. cleaning on a 95' passport 2.6L, then the vechicle came back a week later to have valve cover gaskets and plug tubes replaced for oil leaks. This requires removing intake plenum and throttle body. The amount of carbon build up inside that throttle body and plenum after cleaning was unbelievable. I had to physically clean with good old fashioned carb cleaner and elbow grease. My advice, run good fuel and clean throttle body with carb cleaner and a tooth brush. Another consideration, think about fuel pressures in fuel inj. systems. Most are 30 to 45 psi. If something is getting past the fuel filter to clog that injector, (something I doubt can happen), do you really think cleaning agents are going to blow it past the pintel? That's a pretty small hole. Not to mention that no manufacturer that I am aware of recommends periodic cleaning of the fuel system with anything. Hell, Honda doesn't even run a external fuel filter anymore that is servicable! With all the detergents in modern fuel, I think this fuel cleaner fad is just that. My 2 cents......
