Jeep is considering a recall on this and should; yours is not the only one I've seen with this problem. The bright side is that it will not effect the drivability of the jeep and the only ill effects is that check engine light staying on and masking any other possibly more important codes that should pop up. I have reset my buddys computer many times to get that light out of his face while he waits to see if a recall pops up. There is a TSB that was sent out to all the dealerships on this subject; the TSB # is... (18-009-01 MAR 01 EVAP System - Leak Detection Pump Operation) Mention this to the dealership and see what the instructions from the engineers actually were for the fix.
