Strip stuff off the long block and put it on your donor long block, and you're set to drop it back in. Easier to do this stuff with a pair of engine stands, rather than cussin about stuff while in the engine compartment. HOWEVER, I'd do a compression and/or leakdown test on the donor before you start to make sure it's still okay. Just a thought.
