I have the factory graphics on the side of my 90' toyota pick up and I want to take them off. Please let me know the best way to do this. Thanks!

Body Damage is Cool
I've done it on other trucks (but never after 15 years) by using a hairdrier or the hot sun to soften the adhesive and just start pulling it off. Then use some adhesive remover to get the rest the the glue off. Warning: you know the paint anound the graphics has probably faded a lot in 15 years of sun exposure so there will be a big color difference between the two areas. I did it on a silver truck that was just 2-3 years old and I could tell where the graphics were.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Goof-off, WD-40 and a razor scraper.

I figured you would probably be able to tell where they were after I take them off and I am going to try to blend the paint as best as I can after I do so, but I plan on eventually repainting it anyway so it won't be a big deal....

Razor scraper???? do you mean a razor blade???? That would destroy that paint I have right now....

Here is how I removed some stripes from my '85. There is also supposed to be an adhesive removal wheel from 3M that works well. Kind of like a big pencil eraser, never tried one of those.

If you have to do any scraping to get things started, I used a new plastic bondo spreader.

hair dryer might work but one of those heat guns from auto shop might be a little hotter. Also a buffer with some aggressive polish or compound would be good too to help blend and remove contaminants.
razor blade - hahahaa awesome

Thanks for the suggestions.....4crawler....what did you use as a "soft scraper" when heating the decals up and peeling them off??? I will try this approach.

As you can see in the picture on that web page, I used a scrap of wood for a scraper along with the heat gun. Worked well and did not scratch the paint.

I thought that is what it was but I wasn't sure. Thanks!

Anybody heard of using an eraser wheel on the end of a drill????
