hey there, folks! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> i'm new to the board - and building 4x's. i have a 90 4runner that i am starting to work on. i have a few things in the works right now, but would like some input on a basic lift set up to fit 33's under it. i've decided to go with Downey HD coils with 1.5" Daystar spacers. That should take care of the rear, but i'm unsure about the front. Can I get that much crank(safely) out of my t-bars? will i need ball joint spacers? is there something better? i'm about to order my springs/spacers this week so any advice would be greatly appreciated...

Hi Rusted. Welcome to the board.

You will find a lot of good people and good information here. The first thing I need to tell you is that around here, even veterans of the board occassionally get flamed for not searching before posting. I'm hoping that by posting this advice to you, you won't get flamed. smile

Do a search for 2nd Gen lift and read those threads. You might also want to check out the rest of the Toyota sections of this forum. 4x4Wire has a great writeup section covering everything from general maintenance to high-priced aftermarket bumpers. Check it out.

If I had any specific info for 2nd Gens, I'd give it to you now. Mine is a 3rd Gen, so that is where my expertise lies.

Body Damage is Cool
I vote for Balljoint Spacers.

Roger Brown offers them as well as Sdori.com
