Body Damage is Cool
Just thought I would throw out a post here as we are a week away from the event...

And just to get you a little more enticed, as though that's needed... I mean it's MOAB, if you aren't stoked by now, I don't think there is any hope for ya...

A new sub-event that was attempted last year, was met with such positive response, that we decided to expand it and make it a bit more fun this year.

Geophotocaching.
What is it you say? Well simple really. A list of coordinates and clues are handed out. Utilizing your GPS you navigate to the location of the coordinates and attempt to decipher the clue as to what the photo goal is at each location. Each location is weighted upon difficult of clue, location and terrain. The more difficult, the higher the point total is for that location.
Your clock starts upon receipt of your registration packet and ends Saturday as specified by the rules.

Saturday is going to be fantastic as there will be the early/short trail runs followed by:

The will also be the 'Zuzoopaluza again on Saturday afternoon which is shaping up to be a great time again. The events will be:
* Show n shine - self explanatory ('Zu show off)
* Spotters Challenge - you are blindfolded and guided through a cone course by a spotter's audible commands.
* Duck Hunt - Tests your vehicle placement knowledge
* Rescue - Rescue a stuck rig

Then of course there will be the BBQ/Banquet in the early evening.

I know I am stoked, what say you?

This event will be held in Rifle, Colorado and will include an emergency transfer case swap when I burn up the one I just swapped in.

(totally jinxed myself there...)

Yep - still working furiously to try and finish off the gears, rocker protection, and the pre-Moab once-over of the rig before I leave next week.

Yes you did...

And you are so being ridiculed when your prophecy comes true...

What day are you heading out?

BTW, for those that may be confused. The rescue sub-event will take place within the field at Portal. (extra precaution to avoid any confusion our "furry friend" may have created.)

For anyone interested, Gwen and I also plan to do some rock climbing (different than rock crawling... no vehicles ) during 'Zu Zoo. So if anyone else is interested; let me know and hopefully we can get something worked out. We aren't experts by any means and generally stay in the 5.8-5.10 range. And I've only been once in the past month, so my climbing muscles are way out of shape... I'm sure Gwen would say the same

Also add to that list that StinkyFab will be sponsoring an ice cream social at some point. I've yet to figure out when its scheduled for, check back later.

Also I'm planning on bringing my motorcycle with me, and I'm betting there are some gorgeous roads in the area to have some fun on, so if anyone else rides let me know.

That means you can find him at:
http://www.findu.com/cgi-bin/find.cgi?KI6BLP*

See also the Tracking function on the left, you'll be able to see his tracks as he drives.

Yeah, I know, I'm not going but I'm pathetic enough to check this forum every day.

Oops... sorry Dallas, that one escaped me (Damned short timers affliction anyway... ). IIRC, its Thursday night.
