Getting the Wheeling Fever
just finished rebuilding the carb on my '87, but i basically screwed myself by not paying attention to the way the linkage was setup before i pulled it apart. now, i'm having one hell of a time trying to figure out if i have everything situated or not. i've been looking at the drawings in the FSM, but what i really need are some actual pictures. strange request, but does anybody have any pictures of the back of their carb....or anybody snap a few pics for me?

I just rebuilt the carb on my 86 4x4 22R. I took a bunch of detailed pictures before I disassembled it. Email me and I'll send them to you.

I have 4 different carbs and each one seems to have slightly different linkages I'll take a few pics tomorrow for ya.

oh man......don't say that

also, something else that's interesting. these two items were missing before i tore it down......the idle-up diaphragm (which the linkage is there), and the idle solenoid valve. the carb did function fine with these missing. not sure if it's a big deal whether or not they are there.

The q. would also be if you have AC or not, as you'd have that linkage to mess with also; on the outboard side.

glad to hear you figured it out! sorry, I got home after dark the past two days, didn't get a chance to go out and get some pics, not that they wouldve done any good in the dark!
