Eric - I'm certainly no expert, but, I have had problems with the solid eye bushings with shocks (difficult to put on and remove, squeaky, etc.)

Last time I changed shocks I went with a "two-part" shock bushing ... kind of like > and < vs. the solid hourglass
>-<. Much easier to mount and remove and (with the correct amount of grease - LOTS) no squeaking.
