There is a really nice Land Cruiser around the corner from me for sale. 182k, red, moderate oil leak underneath, interior is excellent, New tires, Automatic, 6 cylinder. Runs nicely. You guys are the experts on these. I am interested in it but is $5500 too much for this considering the mileage? What are the things to look out for on this year and model? What kind of gas mileage are we talking about? Thanks in advance. Ryan

I think you might be in the ballpark with that price, but I would see how low you could get it down. I own a 1990 FJ62 that I bought with 158K on it and it needed no work. Paid $6000 for it but consider it a pretty good deal. You also want to check for rust around the wheel wells, rocker panels and tailgate, as these are prime areas for rust on these trucks. I think most people probably get about 12-15 mpg out of their cruisers. Good luck.

Body Damage is Cool
It is interesting to see that 60 series are still holding value in other parts of the country. Around here both those prices would be considered high. We have a glut of 80 series though which has driven down 60 series prices.

Roll Me Over
Up here 80's are VERY rare (most are lexus 450's) so 60's are pretty expesnive, minimum 8000 CAD, more for a diesel, even more if there is low mileage (8000 is for 300,000+km!)

Yep, for a well taken care of the price is in the ballpark. Depending on local market, you may be able to negotiate it down some. Definitely check the wells (especially the rear) rockers, and tailgate. I'm buying a 60 from Ohio for significantly less, but she's got cancer.
