Just got phone call from my dealership. They drop the pun on the transmission and found some metal parts in it. I was questioned about what I did with Trooper, because dealership installed a new transmission just in October 2004.
"Nothing special" was my answer. No towing. No over 80 Mph driving.

Now I start thinking about what I will do when warranty will be over.

I hope they will install a new tranny before holidays. Last time it takes 3.5 weeks.
I thing the reason for failure was incorrect ATF level. I did not checked it when new tranny was installed. This time I will check everything.

Vlad, that's bad, really bad !

I had a hope that we will wheel together these holidays. I am not sure that they will be able to replace the tranny by holidays

Let's see how this replacement will go on.

They promised 2-3 days, but this is a dealer promise smile
Hope everything will be ok and I'll get trooper back soon.

Exactly which 'holidays' are you referring to? Some Ukrainian thing that I am not aware of?

Good luck on the quick fix though. Steve G

exactly. This is a very special Ukranian holiday. This day, July 4, 1776, Ukranians got a new country to visit and to work in

Warranty is a good thing, but it is not forever.
So, second transmission in 4 years it is too much. What can be a root of the problem?

1. 33" BFG?
2. Transmission cooler? May be the level of cooler is too high?
3. Incorrect level of ATF. I did not check the level, when new transmission was installed. And the quality of work was so bad. Some bolts was loosen, and some of them even not exists.( This time I will check everything).
4. Powertrain Control Module (PCM) failure?
5. Just my luck?

If it will broke again, I think dealer will refuse the warranty. I do not want to be in that situation.

The biggest thing is the ATF level. You've got to make sure it's correct. Too high or too low, and you risk damage. Just make sure that it's correct, and it should last a long time. Then again, it could just be your luck.

Here's to good luck with the new one.
