I would be tempted leave the engine where it is, and use the electric fan. Probably a good idea to see where the transmission ends up, like you said though.

Love the 2nd gen dash in the 1st gen. The dash was about the only thing I didn't like about my 1st gen <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Should be a sweet ride when its done!
