After putting on the wider 265/70/16 rubber on my OEM steelies, the chome hubcaps (aka imposters) are no longer holding the rim adequately. I already lost one hubcap on I95 down by the Philadelphia airport (please PM me if you found it ) so I figure I should take the plunge and get some alloys before I cause an accident, if I haven't already . I took some quick measurements of an extra stock wheel I have laying around and these are my observations:
[Linked Image]
16x7 6 spoke (3 raised):
~5.5 inch backspacing
6 on 5.5 with 4 inch center hole
considerable positive offset (not sure exactly how much)

Anyone care to add to my observations please feel free.

My tires rub the mud flaps slightly on full turn. I'm afraid that my aftermarket choices are limited due to the crazy backspacing of these OEMs. Has anyone ever seen an aftermarket with comperable measurements as the stockers, or should I just prepare myself for more inevitable fitment issues? I'd really appreciate any input from anyone with experience replacing this particular wheel. And, yes, I do want a polished alloy to match the rest of the stainless on my Rodeo .

TIA
-Eric

(Note that wheel width statements have been changed from 8" to 7 inches upon realizing that I'm a jackass and can't read a ruler)
