Body Damage is Cool
Thanks for the compliments!
I can sure get pics here in a few days. It's currently all wrapped top to bottom in plastic to keep overspray off it. It's in my shop getting some motor work taken care of.
I can tell you for starters though, there is no attachment point of the cage at the windshield. There is a hoop that runs from the drivers floor, up and over to the pass floor. I built brackets to mount it at the body crossmember for extra strength. There is another hoop behind the front seats. That is the one I'm replacing to facilitate the top. It currently sits at the base of the "step" in the floor. It will be relocated to the top of the step. I will modify the foot to use the old mount points, plus add about four more bolts.
The rear bars, are mostly getting changed for aesthetics. I wanted just a little bit more of a "fastback" sweep to them, yet still protect my little ones, and be able to support a bikini top that will shade the back seat. I've also since learned that the way the are now, a soft top frame hoop won't fold up and down and clear the corner.
