the K&N oil may work best in on road applications, but in very dusty off-road conditions the fine dust does find it way through the filter media... the pre-filter charger helps but it's not the perfect solution and the pre-filter does restrict the air flow some, with a noticeable drop in performance when compared to just the K&N filter itselfà thereÆs not one solution that doesnÆt have drawbackÆs, the oiled filters clog easily in dusty environments no doubt about that, with paper filters you need a large filter areaà apart from some sort air/water scrubber to effectively remove the partials there is going to be some sort of compromise.
