by the time you buy the KN, recharger kit, a pre-foam filter why not just get a regular air filter? All that effort isn't really worth it IMO. You put a KN for more flow... then you have put a prefoam gimic on it to help filter... but it restricts flow some. so in the end.. is the flow really that much better than a regular filter like a Napa Gold? I don't think my tiny 3.0L that revs to 4K rpm will notice.
