Thought I would post an update for posterity. The 10K ohm resistor mod illustrated here works just dandy on the I4 tach as well - but the tach reads about 33% high. No worries, this places the reading within the adjustment range of the tach. My tach now reads, and does so accurately.


Bill - this seems way too easy. For a long while, people were talking about super strange ways of making the Tach work. IIRC, even ORS hadn't figured it out yet (EDIT - not bagging ORS at all... just remember reading they didn't have a good solution). Something about the signals from the new engine being too different. Anyway, my question - what did you use to measure the tach for accuracy?
