Yep, done to hot rod standards. Beautiful welds, wrapped in exhaust insulation, near additional firewall insulation that Mike added to the Chili. Room for a gnat to spare. Perfectly executed.

Need a Spot
This is the work that Mike did for my 88 4runner.

[Linked Image]

The exhaust is da bomb. I had a V6 originally so the tach mod was cake walk. Cruise works, the only thing I need to do is charge the AC system and tune the FTC Mike installed from URD. Who would have thought that ORS would also be my speed shop?? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

You got the updated design that he did on my truck after the first one (no flex on the crossover) cracked at the union. He also removed the firewall insulation; figured it actually trapped heat and made for a tight fit, and with the flex there just was not enough room.

Runs wonderfully.

Good onya!

Oh wow, your's cracked already huh. I guess Mike took good care of you on that? I wondered why he sent it with a flex coupler, I thought maybe it was because I was doing the install or something.

Mike definitely took very good care of me. It was a frustrating job for him, just prior to Thanksgiving. He remade the crossover, then discovered that to install it he would have to now drop the transmission. He needed to visit family in Texas for T-day, so I said what the heck. Picked it up a couple weeks later.

He ended up spending a lot of time on it and on some other things that suited me fine but bothered him. He is most definitely a perfectionist and does the finest work I know of. Made me a fan for sure.

That's good, for you anyway, bummer for Mike though. When you say he removed the firewall insulation do you mean all of it, or just the extra insulation he had added during the swap? Just wondering if I should remove my stock firewall insulation.
