Ok, so I finally wrenched out the old fan switch, it was fried. The tech guy at the toyota dealership said it was one of the worse ones he'd seen. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" /> The tech guys said it was a common failure, but was not typical. Got a new switch, they had them in stock because they sell alot of them. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />
$60 bucks later I had the culprete, now I have another question.

I have been testing the new switch for continuity according to the FSM link, and the M2 and Hi settings are not registering, Does that mean the new switch is bad <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />, or is there something I'm missing.

Got some good pics of the fouled switch I'll post in a few, and the switch itself is fairly straight forward to remove. I could detail it if anybody is interested.
