The plastic covers pop off,Lisa actually pop the front ones off rather easiely.I can't remember if they pull up/out or not,sorry.But they do come off.It might be alittle rough
to make a braket and keep the factoryroof rack.
There is a plate with studs welded to it and a couple small bolt's holding it down.
There a several phillips head screws that need to be removed also.
If you need,I can take pics tonite when I get home.
