Okay - here goes:

Here's a couple pictures of the mounting point for the luggage rack (after I took OFF the rack, obviously)


Here's the end of the lightbar that I needed to mount - the wide foot has mounting holes at either end, but nowhere close to the mounting points for the luggage rack.


After much thinking and a few calls around to likely sources for custom brackets, I ended up just going to Home Depot and buying some hardware - some plated steel strap, some rubber furniture-feet, and some nuts/bolts/washers, which I cut/drilled and assembled - basically it was an adapter to allow the mount for the lightbar to attach to the luggage-rack mounting point, and to (hopefully!) prevent the metal from tearing up the roof.
