Looks good <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

You did RTV the mount good so no leaks right? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Is there any wind noise or vibration from the roof while at speed?

How did you get the covers off to access the bolts on the roof? My rack is loose and I can't get them off. I have tried pulljng, prying, etc.

There's a gasket that lays flat between the roof and the rack - if you slide a thin screwdriver/etc between it and then lever up a little, it'll let go of one of the "clip" points, and the rest can then be "convinced" to let go by hand. Took me a little head-scratching/head-banging to figure it out - but once you get it, you wanna KICK yourself in the head at how easy it is...

Sealed the holes - but luckily, the little rubber feet I used were slightly smaller at the bottom and slightly larger at the top than the holes they were seating into - so with a couple extra turns of the wrench on those bolts, the pressure-fit was pretty darn tight...

A little wind noise - but that started when I took the luggage rack - and didn't increase noticeably by adding the lightbar - still puzzling ways to make the mounting mess a little more aerodynamic - but the bar itself is pretty well made... MY question (to be answered with *koff* reasearch) is: what's it gonna do to my gas mileage? *shrug* we shall see!

I'm curious, do those lights flash in any sequence similar to a police vehicle?

The lightbar does all kinds of things - I have red/white on there, because I'm using it for my fire department, but one of the local police departments uses/used this same bar with red/blue/white on it... I don't wanna take up the space on here, but if you want to look at the manufacturer's description, look here:
Federal Signal Vision lightbar system
