Your truck is rare - parts are super rare.

Not what I wanted to hear ... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" />

Well, you have come to the right forum for help.

Aftermarket T-bars and rear leaf springs are available.
Bilstein shocks are available.

It will take some time and effort but you should be able to fix your truck up real nice.

I would stick with the OEM air-box and filter though...

If you want my K&N you can have it for the price of shipping along with the oil and cleaner.

You ready for this?

4.70

Yep, odd as heck I know, 4.70. 47 Ring Gear, 10 Pinion.

another 4.70 would make it easy to get running in 4x4, but I was also thinking of going a step up (or down -- however you want to call it) maybe to a 4.88 or 5.29 so I could put larger tires on the truck.

If they're that bad on T100s I'll just take your word for it and save the shipping $.

OEM filter can stay.

Amsoil air filters are arguably the best... Considerably beter than K&N, IMHO. If you do remove the airbox & use a conical, consider removing the lower fenderwell liners - makes a considerable difference in the underhood temps. And no, never any problems with splash (even living in PDX for the last few years).

Btw... You still haven't mentioned what motor you have - 2.4? 3.slow? Also, auto or manual?

ps - Yep, I'm baaaaaaack! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Garym:

Why do you want to get rid of your K&N, is it an intake system, ive been thinking about replacing my performance intake with a K&N system...

I have a slightly used Amsoil drop-in air filter for the 3.4L if anyone wants it... $20

No, it is just the filter. After using it for a while found a lot of oil and oily dirt accumulating in the throttle body that I never had with the orig. air cleaner. Pulled the air tube and it too was coated with the oily crud. This was after using it per K&N instr. I did a lot of driving in the dust zones of E. OR. so thought it would be better than it was. Since I went back, the throttle body has stayed clean.
