Getting the Wheeling Fever
I though I'd share a few videos that I just put together from a trip on Surprise Canyon to Panamint City back in 01. Go here and click the speed that best suits your connection.

Happy Trails

Panamint Charlie

BTW- I still need to get rid of that 85 x-cab frame. In So-Cal

Kickin' videos. I love that area. Being in Wisconsin sucks as I only get out there every few years. And I never get to take my own vehicle. Always a rental, so I have to be careful. I did get to participate in the flooding last winter, just after Christmas.

I always wanted to get up Surprise Canyon. Now I know what's at the top and what it takes to get there!

Thanks for the vids,
Muffin Man

Some friends of mine and I did this canyon on Trials motorcycles a few years ago. Can't wait to try it in my truck once I get a few more modifications done.

The canyon has been closed to vehicular traffic for about 3-4 years now...

I had heard that but not from a reliable source. How did they close it? Did they build a gate somewhere? Sucks though. Maybe by the time I'm ready to try it in my truck it will have been reopened.
