Getting the Wheeling Fever
(Sorry, I Looked didnt see anything on this subject!)I was intrested in installing a "Snorkle" on my Monty" because I need the extra horses at higher speeds (Like 70mph) question is, is it worth installing one! Is it really that much of a difference to even fool with? Pls Advise! Thanks!!...Coop

Just if it would help as a "Ram Air" system, I don't mean 70MPH thru a lake!! , Was just wondering if It would help act as a sort of a Ram Air to help push those 33/12.50's and Maintain 70mph on the interstate when going to work!!...Coop

I doubt it because it still goes through your regular filter. So your not gaining anything really.

It's worth it if you forge lots of water and +3 coolness factor. As for performance, save your money and buy those 5.29 gears. You may get a couple of ponies but I doubt it, never seen any real data. Now a electric fan that might free up power

Didn't DougH have a pair for sale? $500-700 abouts.

Misterbishi's gang did a dyno test before and after a snorkel install on a 3.5 I think and there was a noticeable gain. To buy one though just for that I still say its risky. The 3.0 just doesnt handle 33's and 70mph - I'd go for the gearing.

Only a front set, and it wasnt close to that price, much much lower. If some one was interested I could sell them the gears and the genII front diff that it fits. Then they would only need to source the rear set, and a passanger side cv to replace my broken one.
