My sister bought a 99 2WD Rodeo. It's a 4cyl. I drove quickly tonight, but it was late so I didn't get a good look. I have no idea about these trucks, but it's making a noise that sounds like it's coming from the bottom of the intake on the right side of the engine (looking at the engine from in front of the truck) and it sounds like there might be a leak in the exhaust manifold. Are these typical problems for the Rodeos of this year?

Any advice on what to look out for & check on? (Even words that I should run through a search on this engine)

I know, a lot of wasted time and money ... if I knew then what I know now....
