Thanks for sharing the wonderful news, Darin. She'll do fine through the treatments.
Long needle isn't too bad. Just remind her that it's better than having your tooth pulled-out.

That's great news, but it doesn't sound fun. best of luck with the treatments and stay on top of the doc and billing, for information and best options. they can "code" almost anything to get money from the ins. company.............Karl

Cancer, or even the possibility of having something diagnosed with cancer, is an experience that no one will understand completely until they've gone through it. I don't mean that to sound arrogant or self righteous at all - seriously. I had become so callous to cancer diagnosis over the course of the last 15 years that to me it was just another right of passage like a first kiss or first beer. Sounds trite, eh? I guess it is just so (unfortunately) "common to man" these days that I was never surprised by hearing the news.
That was, until the Doctor looked at me and said "it's cancer"... That changes a person's world. I had melanoma, and it was (comparatively speaking) "no big deal." I can still only slightly relate to what you two are going through, but I'm very glad things are heading in a good direction.
Blessings to you and your wife! bkg
Brian K. Gallus I have nothing important to say.

Darin, glad Kathie's okay. I hear ya on the 'chore provider' (the job title, yes). Goin' on 3 months now with the roomie's ankle. First PT visit today; gal was great; showed her on the xray where the bones are healing etc. Now she has a 'job' with her regime. Visit was a HUGE psycological boost; got her over being scared.
Yeah, go take your hardware down to EB's and have a few cold ones and take a break. Ya need to do that once in awhile when you're in the thick of things. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> I'm sure the news is a huge relief for all concerned!
