When did Toyota start using wider spring perches on the rear IFS axles? I know about the difference between '85 and '86, but sometime after '86 they went even wider.

I'm trying to swap in a rear axle from the 90's and the u-bolts won't fit because the perches are wider than the holes in the mounting plates. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> So I need to look for new mounting plates and want to know what years to look for.

No, I don't want to do a u-bolt flip if I can help it as this is on my daily driver and I don't want to have to screw around with changing shock mounts, etc.
