As far as those codes...
KM148 is the tranny designation I believe.
G54B is the engine designation I believe.
4625 is your R&P gear ration (4.625:1)
Not sure about the rest though.

From what I know about these rigs...
In the US, the 88's only came with a 2.6L I4 carburated engine. The carburator is made by Mikuni. Vacuum lines at this age will go bad and require replacement.

Secondary won't open because of these bad lines & you'll experience less than stellar acceleration and power out of your engine.

One thing you should do is check that all lube points have been regularly lubed. There are numerous Zirk fittings underneath that most lube places will miss simply because they don't see them or don't expect the mitsu to have so many. Here's a diagram from an 89 factory manual showing it's lube points. Yours should be very similar...
