Need a Spot
I just installed a rebuilt automatic trans in a 94
wrangler with a 2.5l. It runs and rolls fine. But it seam to stay in first gear to long. At least I think so. It shifts at no lower then 2700 rpm and as high as 3000 from first to second.
If I start form a dead stop and get it up to about 2400 rpm and let off the gas and then back on it will shift to second. From second to third no problem smooth and firm shift. I never owned a car or truck with a small 2.5l motor. Is that shift range normal for a small engine?
Any one out there with a 2.5l w/ auto that can help.

Check the TV cable adjustment, and give it a week or 2. New trannys can be finnicky.
