They fit with a ten second hammering of the heat shield on the lower firewall. Not that they help anything. The stock manifold is designed pretty well, but I will say that the Thorley is a beautiful piece, and well made.

And before you ask, the thing attached with a hose clamp to one of the tubes is for the heat stove for cold start air intake. And I no longer use Fram oil filters - these pics are a few years old.
