I called them and told them they weren't getting one back with the core. I decided I could have demanded a bunch of stuff like a new one, and labor for me to install the old bracket but decided not too.

If it was something more involved I would have done otherwise, but I dont want to get any bad karma at this point. It isn't any trouble to change the bracket over, and I wanted to pull their timing belt off and reinstall it anyways.
